A new age has begun. Cloud applications are finally here and SAP pushes heavily into the Cloud, asking all their customers to move to RISE with SAP or GROW with SAP instead of continuing on-premise SAP implementations. In addition, the SAP ContentServer is reaching its end-of-life and will not support RISE or GROW customers in the future.

To service these requirements and help customers to make the leap and move all their SAP archiving requirements into the Cloud, Arcana Solution has developed a truly Could-Native solution. Arcana software is available for direct subscription on the Azure Marketplace, as well as on other Hyperscaler platforms on request.

The solution is build for the Cloud, not with an outdated lift-and-shift approach, but as a state-less service that completely eliminates the need of OS, web server and JAVA update requirements. No managing of a VM or a docker container any more – just running a service, utilizing the power of Azure to manage and monitor the application.

Azure Blob storage with all its capabilities serves as an endless and cost-effective pool of storage space. It even supports “bring-your-own” encryption key requirements for customer who need that additional layer of data security in the Cloud. The server and the data reside in private Cloud environments and are not shared between clients.

The software is available as subscription with billing managed by Microsoft when utilizing the Azure option. All cost goes directly against your already purchase tenant data and compute time allotment. It is a true SaaS solution with zero day-to-day management needs.

With its innovative architecture, the Arcana Content Server supports the new and future CMIS interface and integration through the SAP BTP for all SAP GROW and RISE implementation, insuring that customers can keep with SAP’s clean core philosophy. The solution is available on the SAP BTP Marketplace and fully SAP certified.

It is highly scalable for small, medium or very large implementation requirements and the storage capabilities is unlimited.

Document retrieval is easy, either using a stand-alone viewing tool (available from specialized third party companies) or with fully standardized SAP-bases viewing capabilities using the SAP Document Viewer, or by mime-type specific desktop applications (e.g. Adobe Acrobat Viewer, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.).
